Michael Baker International to Provide General Program Management and Engineering Services to the Jacksonville Transportation Authority in Florida

The firm will be responsible for overseeing program management of the Jacksonville Transportation Authority's capital projects

Jacksonville, Fla. (December 18, 2018) - Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services, today announced that it has been selected to provide general program management and engineering services to the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA), an independent state agency serving Duval County, Fla. Under the $15 million and five-year contract, the firm will assist JTA with delivering the overall work program as part of the Construction, Automation and Capital Programs division. Michael Baker will be responsible for the engineering and development of capital projects, as well as program management, construction oversight and advisory services for strategic projects.

Michael Baker will leverage its experience in transit, architecture, planning and technology to provide full multi-modal transportation program management and engineering services, including waterfront engineering and autonomous vehicles. JTA will also leverage the firm's nationwide resources across the Company to bring in diverse perspectives and expertise. To date, the firm utilizes colleagues from California, Connecticut, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Utah and Virginia.
