Michael Baker International Awarded U.S. Department of State Bureau of Overseas Building Operations (OBO) Contract for New USOSCE Offices in Vienna, Austria

Pittsburgh (August, 15, 2014) - Michael Baker International (Baker) recently announced that it has been awarded the construction contract for the United States Mission to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (USOSCE) offices in Vienna, Austria by the Department of State Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO).

Consisting of 43,000 square feet, the USOSCE offices will be constructed on two floors of leased space in the 38-story IZD Tower, the first building in Austria granted a U.S. LEED Existing Building Operation and Maintenance (EBOM) Gold Certification.

This project uniquely combines Baker’s initiatives to provide a comprehensive range of services to U.S. federal, state and municipal governments with OBO’s mission to provide safe, secure and functional facilities that represent the U.S. government to the host nation and support the staff in the achievement of U.S. foreign policy objectives.
