Michael Baker International Continues to Grow with Leadership Promotion in Phoenix and New Strategic Addition in Virginia

Firm's West and Mid-Atlantic Regions see timely promotion and hiring

Pittsburgh (June 20, 2017) - Michael Baker International, a global leader in engineering, planning and consulting services, today announced the promotion of Timothy Quillman, P.E., to Office Executive in the firm’s Phoenix office and the addition of Brad Shelton, AICP, as Director of Planning in Richmond, Va. These changes reaffirm the company’s commitment to strategic growth and development in these offices and regions to better meet the needs of its growing client base.
 
Timothy Quillman – Office Executive (Phoenix)
Timothy Quillman was promoted to Office Executive, overseeing three Michael Baker offices and more than 100 team members, including teams in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Reno, Nevada. In this role, he is responsible for working with department managers to support and grow the firm’s Arizona and Nevada operations, with the corresponding markets and practice groups. Prior to this promotion, Mr. Quillman served as Operations Manager for the Infrastructure group in the firm’s Phoenix office.

Mr. Quillman has more than 19 years of experience working on multi-discipline federal contracts as well as local municipal projects. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Public Works Association (APWA) and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). Mr. Quillman has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from the University of Houston – Clear Lake.
 
Brad Shelton, AICP – Director of Planning (Richmond, Va.)
Brad Shelton joins the firm’s Richmond, Va., office as Director of Planning. In this role, Mr. Shelton will manage planning projects and contracts under the office’s public agency task order contracts. He also will oversee personnel on the Richmond planning team and help to develop business relationships within the area.  Prior to joining Michael Baker, Mr. Shelton spent 10 years in progressive roles at the Virginia Department of Transportation’s Transportation and Mobility Planning Division and Office of Land Use. He also has experience in the public sector with local governments and Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs).

Mr. Shelton is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Studies and a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va.
